COVID-19 is a disease among others that are transmitted through touch and respiratory droplets. There are a few ways to help disinfect these places successfully that people touch and spread those germs around (subconsciously).
The first way to help prevent spreading these germs is, of course, washing your hands. Below is a short video, following the guidelines of how to properly wash your hands according to the World Health Organization.
Another option when handwashing is not available and that the CDC recommends after touching surfaces (like ATM’s, Gas Stations, keypads…etc) is hand sanitizer. The CDC does not recommend anything with lower than at least 60% of ethanol to be able to kill the bacteria and viruses fully.
Cleaning a surface and disinfecting a surface are commonly confused as being the same thing. You think if you are cleaning, you are disinfecting, right? Wrong. When cleaning a surface, you are not KILLING the bacteria and germs, you are only wiping away dirt and impurities. Disinfecting surfaces refers to KILLING the germs after cleaning the surface. The CDC recommends that you first wash your surfaces with soap and water, and then disinfect the surfaces with the following recommended products.
